Monitoring Service

TFG Film & Tape is the only company licensed by television station WFSB to monitor and record their local news and public affairs programs broadcast Monday through Sunday. They have authorized us to make portions of these broadcasts available to the viewing public for purchase on DVD.

We record their weekday early morning news show as well as their noon news broadcast, their evening news broadcast and their late night news program. We also record their Saturday and Sunday morning news program as well as the evening and late night news weekend broadcasts.

In addition, we record Better Connecticut and Face The State.

Recordings are made in high quality digital format using our proprietary ClipLOCK server system. Individual news stories or clips are provided to clients in standard DVD disc format. If time is an issue they can also be supplied to you as a compressed video file. This will allow you to play them on your computer in a small window. We can also provide verbatim transcripts of news stories accompanied by thumbnail frames to illustrate the visuals.

Our fees, below, are based on the costs to research, license,  
convert, edit and author the requested materials to a DVD

$49 per clip

Additional clips from WFSB-TV on the same day are $35/each
(Includes station ID and story intro or teaser where available)

A backup copy of the DVD is $5

Mpeg (.wmv) file conversion and upload: Add $15/per clip
Downloadable clips require a DVD purchase. They are not sold separately. 

We will send you your DVD by First Class Mail for $3.50.

Verbatim Transcripts with Thumbnail Frames

Our transcripts are hand typed. We do not use automated text capture.
This assures that every word spoken is recorded exactly as broadcast.

Color coding is used to identify the anchor, the reporter and
the interviewee(s) to make it easy to identify each new speaker.
